1)USB Flash Drive

USB Flash Drive or USB Flash Memory

Q: USB Flash Memory Capacity
A: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, etc.
Q: USB Flash Memory Chip
A: We use high quality memory chips only. e.g. Toshiba, Hitachi, SDK, etc.
Q: What is FAKE USB flash drive (Memory Chip)?
A:  FAKE USB flash drive refers to low capacity flash drives which appear to have much more capacity than is physically present on the drive. For example,   REAL capacity is 8GB, it is "hacked" so that it appears to have 16GB.
Q: How do I tell the difference between genuine and fake flash drive?
A:  Data tests are needed to identify the fake USB falsh drive. Please order from reliable manufacturer.
Beware of the USB flash drives that are selling at the extremely low price.

Q: Why are the capacity of USB flash disk showed on the computer different?

The capacity of a USB flash drive, as advertised by the manufacturer, might appear different from what is displayed on a computer due to several reasons:
Manufacturer's definition: Manufacturers often define capacity using the metric system (based on powers of 10), where 1 GB is considered as 1,000,000,000 bytes. However, computers typically use binary-based calculations, where 1 GB equals 1,073,741,824 bytes. This disparity in units can lead to a perceived difference in capacity.
File system overhead: When a USB flash drive is formatted with a file system (such as FAT32, NTFS, or exFAT), a portion of the capacity is reserved for file system structures, which are necessary for organizing and managing files. This reserved space reduces the usable capacity displayed on the computer.
Hidden files and system reserved space: System files, hidden files, and reserved space for system operations may occupy a portion of the USB flash drive's capacity. While these files are not typically visible to users, they are accounted for and reduce the available storage space.
Marketing vs. actual usable capacity: Manufacturers often advertise the total storage capacity of the flash drive, but the actual usable capacity may be slightly less due to formatting and system-related factors. This difference between advertised and usable capacity can lead to discrepancies between the manufacturer's stated capacity and what is displayed on a computer.
In summary, differences in capacity between a USB flash drive and a computer can be attributed to variations in calculation methods, file system overhead, hidden files, and differences between advertised and actual usable capacity.
